Sedi Aidam

Hey hey!

I’m Sedi, I’m a 2nd Year Game Arts and Animation student and this is my second semester on Scout as a motion designer for the Production team. I don’t remember exactly how I was introduced to Scout but I’ve admired this group’s work since before I was accepted to Northeastern, and I am immensely grateful to be a part of it now. More about me, I am a recovering manga addict who is also into anime (by association) and can talk your ear off about any book or show even if I haven’t watched it.

Although I love working with Scout and bringing designs to life through motion graphics, I am obsessed with exploring all types of forms of digital art. For this WDD I couldn’t choose one art discipline so I decided to highlight them all. Below I have a sampler of just a few of my favorite artists each working in totally different digital art “mediums.”

☘️@cabeza_patata☘️

One of my favorite animation and character design studios is @cabeza_patata. I love their cast of kooky characters and the definitive style that runs through their projects. The way they tackle all types of art forms such as 2D, 3D, stop motion and all sorts of fun crafts is an inspiration for me; how creativity shouldn’t be restricted to one form.

Here’s a good video overview of what they do!

💘@eunpyonart💘

@eunpyonart is an a-may-zing 2D illustrator. Their work is a whole aesthetic of its own and is stunning no matter how many times you look at it. I am blown away by the amount of small details and dedication that goes into each and every piece.

🥀@olehan.tv🥀

Psychedelic loops, gradients, and abstract compositions are all within the realm of motion designer @olehan.tv. You truly haven’t experienced their work unless you’ve seen it move. How they take simple forms and bring them to life in such hypnotic ways is just something else.

🔥@rigend.film🔥

I’d like to wrap this WDD up with @rigend.film, a South Korea based commercial and music video production studio who have produced some of the most phenomenal korean pop music videos in recent years. Their videos are chock full of visual fx and motion graphics and delicious editing and shots. This is yet another artist whose work isn’t fully enjoyed unless you experience it in motion and with sound.

Here’s a lil teaser of the song that got me obsessed with them!

I hoped you liked these :)))

Change the world is my final message. Goodbye!
